for everyone from beginners to enthusiasts
For a pour-over you should be using a medium ground coffee bean. The coffee should be similar is size to rocky sand or slightly coarser than sugar. This will ensure that you are receiving the best quality possible.
Coffee is a personal process and should therefore be tailored to our own personal preferences. Our Brew Guides serve as a starting point to ensure you are getting the most out of your coffee and receiving the highest quality product possible.
Whilst grinding your beans, boil your water ready to use. We recommend using 2 tbsp of coffee per 1 cup of water.
Allow boiled water to stand for 1 minute to ensure that you don't scold your coffee.
Place a filter in the dripper and pre-wet/rinse the filter with a small amount of hot water. This will help avoid a paper taste that filters can leave behind.
Allow the water to drip through into your carafe or mug. Pour this water allow before continuing.
Add your ground coffee to your filter and tap the surface gently to level it.
Slowly pour over your hot water. We recommend to this this 1/4 cup at a time, wait for the coffee to drip through or approximately 30 seconds in between pours.
Pour the water slowly in a careful circular motion.
Allow coffee to drip into the carafe or mug.
Once complete, remove the filter, pour into a mug if you've used a carafe and enjoy.
